- -> NOAA-11 imaging is dead. Okean 1-7 started APT during
- -> rev. #176 over the Black See at 13h 11min 10sec UT ascending.
- -> I copied a very dark vis-image 240 lpm from a max elevation
- -> of 12 deg, this showed the spacecraft clock was working at
- -> 973 mins after midnight moscow-time = 16h13mins Moscow-time
- -> = 13.13 UT. During next rev #177 APT was OFF.
- -> I wonder if the satellite is ever active over the US,
-
-
- We have also received a picture from Okean 1-7 satellite
- on Oct 23 here in Finland. The picture was very dark.
- The station was Vehkalahti +60.34 N +27.04 E.

- Looking to launch a weather balloon for high school science class. I
- have seen all kinds of radiosonde packages on the surplus market when i
- wasn't looking for one, but now I can't seem to find any. Any ideas on
- this and the balloon. I think I can come up with the transmitter, etc,
- but all those temp sensors and pressure sensors, I would rather find
- packaged. I did see a nice sized balloon in Edmonds for about $17 but I
- think there might be even better deals in the surplus market.
-
- Also, any contacts of hams who are doing this routinely would help.
- Thanks and 73,

- that is what I was wondering, but according to the lastest stuff on the
- satellite's beacon, it should have been on. Now it has off times, since
- OCT 22, but this was 2 weeks ago. I think we have about 2 months of off
- for eclipse times coming up, then the pointing will be better again and
- the schedule more normal.
-
- I used to do mode JL, but now that that's gone, I'm B only. Don't have a
- converter for S, though maybe next year....

- Thanks
